Lewis Graham – Player Spotlight

Within the defensive ranks of Larkhall Athletic, a club renowned for its resilience, community-spirit and camaraderie, stands Lewis Graham, a strong presence at the heart of the team’s defensive line. In a candid interview, Lewis offers Larks fans a glimpse into his journey, aspirations, and the ethos that defines his experience at Larkhall Athletic.

“I’m proud to be part of a great club,” Lewis asserts, echoing the sense of allegiance he holds towards Larkhall Athletic, which is a sentiment shared by Larks players and fans alike.

Amidst the exhilaration of game days and the grind of training sessions, Lewis really appreciates the team-spirit that runs through the current crop of players. “The best thing about playing here is being a part of a great group of lads on and off the pitch,” he emphasises, underscoring the importance of unity in fostering success.

Driven by an unwavering ambition, Lewis articulates his personal goals with clarity. “I want to play as high as I can, while I can… and I want to win a trophy,” he declares, embodying the relentless pursuit of excellence that characterises his approach to the game.

This determination and professionalism hasn’t gone unnoticed. Lewis Graham has been instrumental in the Larks cup performances – not only making a difference in the massive FA Cup game against Bath City, but also putting in superb shifts during the Somerset Premier Cup victories this season – keeping clean sheets and creating attacking moves too.

Off the pitch, the former Warminster and Frome Town defender seamlessly transitions into the role of a personal trainer and online coach, a testament to his commitment to self-improvement and his passion for fitness and well-being. You can follow Lewis Graham on Instagram here.

In moments of respite from the rigours of training and competition, Lewis indulges in the simple pleasures of watching and coaching football or honing his skills on the golf course, finding balance amidst the demands of his dual roles.

Drawing inspiration from footballing icons, Lewis pays tribute to Ledley King, a Spurs defensive legend whose influence left an indelible mark on his journey as a player. Let’s hope Lewis can emulate Ledley King with a goal 9.82 seconds into a match sometime soon!

Amidst the camaraderie and competitive spirit that permeate the Larkhall squad, Lewis reveals the presence of jokers within the team, though he maintains a discreet silence regarding their antics. “We’ve got a few class clowns, but I haven’t got any PG stories to share!”

In a parting message to the fans, Lewis expresses gratitude for their loyalty through thick and thin. “I appreciate your support. UP THE LARKS!” Lewis exclaims, a rallying cry that resonates with the fervour and passion of the Larkhall faithful.

In Lewis Graham, Larkhall Athletic finds not only a formidable defender but a player whose unwavering dedication, aspirations, and appreciation for the club embody the very essence of the Larkhall spirit. We’re lucky to have him.
