The exciting upgrades at Plain Ham are progressing beautifully
LARKHALL UPDATE: Great news for the community!
The exciting upgrades at Plain Ham are progressing beautifully, and we’re thrilled to share that things are shaping up nicely.
We’re on track to welcome you back to Plain Ham for our first home league game in just four weeks (mid-September), with a potential cup tie even sooner at the end of August.
These improvements, including a brand-new pitch, all-seater stand, floodlights, and dugouts, are not just securing the future of Larkhall Athletic—they’re bringing big benefits to our local community:
Youth Opportunities: With over 500 kids in the Larkhall Athletic Youth Academy, we’re excited to offer many games and training sessions on this fantastic new pitch. Plus, you’ll be able to book the pitch for your own use!
Reducing Traffic & CO2: With a top-notch ground right here in Larkhall, many of our youth players can walk to their home games, cutting down on city-wide travel and helping the environment.
Environmental Care: We’re creating a greener Plain Ham with a new beehive area in conjunction with Bath Beekeepers, bat boxes, replanted hedges, new trees, energy-efficient LED floodlights and a rain-fed, wildlife-friendly pond.
These developments benefit us all, and we can’t wait to share them with you! In the meantime, you can watch the mighty Larks play against Westbury on Wed August 28th at Twerton Park – thanks to Bath City for temporarily sharing their home with us!
