*LATEST NEWS*

The second round draw has given us a home tie against local rivals Melksham Town, to be played on Wednesday 3rd October, ko 7.45pm.

The Larks booked their place in the next round of the Southern League Challenge Cup last night with a feisty 2-1 win against neighbours Mangotsfield United.

Our hosts scored first after a defensive mix-up, but the Larks struck back almost immediately when man of the match Matt Groves was on hand to tap in from close range. The Larks then sealed the win halfway through the second half with an excellent move from midfield, Harry Hope providing a cross to Grovesy who supplied Lewis Powell. Our top scorer was never going to spurn such a good chance, and although Mangotsfield fought back with sub Kye Simpson a constant threat, we held our own.

The next round is likely to be played in the first week of October. Once we know our opponents, an update will be issued.

Up the Larks!
