Larks victory for Alfie

On an emotional evening the Larks recognised the contribution of Phil ‘Alfie’ Tiley by securing three points against local rivals Melksham Town. In a closely contested game both sides played some good football which went from end to end. The Larks on the night seemed to want the result more than Melksham and despite going a goal down, quickly bounced back before half time to equalise. The second half saw a dominant Larks take and hold the lead through a stunning Jack Goodall goal struck from outside of the box into the bottom corner of the goal. Three points in the bag, the first defeat on the road for Melksham and the Larks ascend to tenth in the table.
