Larks triumph in the Trophy

MATCH REPORT

A solid all-round performance saw the Larks through to face Hamworthy in the next round.

This was a pretty dominant showing from the home side who could easily have been in the lead in the first half.

Willand did challenge early on. Arthur Nasta made a great full stretch save, then Willand’s Owen Howe got the ball in the net but was flagged offside.

Archie Ferris was unlucky not to score after the Willand defence fluffed a clearance. A superb turning run from Lammy cued up Eben Mortimer-Taylor who forced a last ditch block. Then Max chipped the ball to Lammy whose soft shot was easily saved by George Burton.

Some clever play from midfield fed the ball to Max Williams who struck neatly into the far corner of Burton’s net. Archie then put the game beyond the visitors’ reach with a strong close range header off a Dale Evans corner.
