Larks Maintain Play Off Challenge

The Larks dented the Robin’s championship hopes and maintained their own challenge for a play off position with a 1-1 draw last night.

The Larks started sharply. In the 3rd minute, from a simple throw in, the ball made its way into the box. Our first effort was off the bar, but Alex Lambert was there to finish the rebound off, putting the Larks ahead early on.

The Larks contained Frome without too much trouble until the second half when as expected they threw players forward. Despite the pressure the Larks maintained a threat on the break and had opportunities to extend their lead. The equaliser came after a goal mouth scramble and what appeared to be a foul on Sam Boulton. Arthur pulled off a couple of good saves to frustrate Frome further but at the end of the game a draw was probably a fair result.
