Goalfest at Plain Ham

An energetic Larks performance saw local rivals Paulton Rovers well beaten. Starting strongly, the home side threatened from the off with Dawid Regula and Archie Ferris both having chances to take the lead. Paulton then won a penalty with 10 minutes gone but Kyle Tooze uncharacteristically fluffed his lines to keep it 0-0.A glorious cross into the box from Max Williams reached Archie, who nodded a glancing header past Sam Jepson. The Larks doubled their lead towards the end of the first half when awarded a penalty for handball, which was dispatched confidently by Dawid. The same player doubled his tally with another spot kick early in the second half after Alex Lambert was brought down, then got his hat trick, cutting in from the left to fire into the far corner of Jepson’s net. Lammy himself nearly made it 5-0 but was flagged offside. Paulton rallied somewhat in the closing stages of the game, coming close to a consolation goal. Joe Morgan drew a smart catch from Arthur Nasta and Martin Lenihan was unlucky to shoot wide.
