Back with a bang!

After a lengthy break from playing the Larks got back into their stride in earnest. The 5-0 scoreline did not deceive as the Larks put their Devon visitors to the sword. The home side got off to a rapid start and won the first corner of many within seconds. Dawid Regula was the first to score when he collected the ball off a lively Alex Lambert whose pace proved a challenge to the Exmouth defence. Only minutes later Archie Ferris doubled the lead with a fierce header. Dawid nearly got his brace by picking up a precise long pass from Spencer Dymond-Hall but his shot came off the outside of the post.

The Exmouth keeper was tested again when Eben Mortimer-Taylor had a go from distance only to see his shot fly just over the crossbar. The visitors’ best chance came when Dave Rowe’s header was neatly caught by Arthur Nasta who also made a good block to deny Exmouth. Lammy then got the goal his endeavour deserved, collecting a pass from Archie to launch a long range strike into the far corner of Andrew Sowden-Bird’s net.

3-0 up at half time but the Larks were not yet done. Archie had a shot off the post and then full back Jack Goodall blasted the ball at Sowden-Bird who did well to tip it over. Archie was then the provider for the Larks’ fourth, a fine diagonal effort from Max Williams. Sub Jake Jackson rounded off an emphatic win by poking home from close range.
