💥 Larkhall Athletic 4–2 Westbury United
Late Drama Seals Stunning Win at Plain Ham
Larkhall Athletic delivered a thrilling finish at a windswept Plain Ham, overcoming a spirited Westbury comeback to secure a dramatic 4–2 victory in front of a buzzing home crowd.
The Larks started brightly, creating early chances and showing attacking intent. Joel Manning was called into action to deny Dawid Regula, while Ryan Bole couldn’t quite connect at the other end. But it was Larkhall who struck first on 15 minutes—capitalising on a midfield error, Matt Bowman and Max Williams combined swiftly, with Williams slotting home a crisp finish to make it 1–0.
Regula continued to torment the Westbury defence, forcing key interventions from Josh Jenkins and Dan Restorick. Despite pressure from the visitors at set pieces, Larkhall held firm and doubled their lead just after the break. Regula again burst down the left and squared for Alex Camm to tap in for 2–0.
Westbury responded with a bold quadruple substitution that shifted momentum. Ali Sen injected pace and energy, and after a flurry of chances, Ben Starr pounced on a rebound to pull one back on 66 minutes.
The match intensified, with both goalkeepers producing standout saves—Manning denying Beckinsale and Horrocks, while Armstrong kept out Taylor’s efforts. Westbury found an equaliser late on, with Sen curling in a superb finish off the post after slick build-up play with Witcombe.
With 10 minutes added due to injuries, both sides pushed for a winner. Armstrong saved a Jenkins free kick, and Murgatroyd rattled the crossbar. But it was Larkhall who found the breakthrough—Regula rose to head in Beckinsale’s pinpoint cross on 95 minutes to restore the lead.
Then, in the 99th minute, with Westbury throwing everyone forward at a set piece, Sam Boulton broke away and coolly finished to seal an unforgettable win for the Larks.
A true showcase of grit, flair, and late-game composure—Plain Ham was rocking!
