The Larks’ disappointing home form continued in a first-ever league encounter with a buoyant Blackfield and Langley.
The Hampshire side were probably second-best in the first half and at that point a draw looked most likely, but the Larks’ lack of real threat in front of goal left them vulnerable. Halfway through the second half the Watersiders took the lead when the Larks lost possession in midfield. Lerone Plummer fired past Shaun Semmens and from then on our visitors dominated the game. Their victory was confirmed when despite some valiant defending from Josh Jones in particular, Plummer got his brace into injury time.
Let’s hope we can get the league campaign back on track when we travel the short distance to Paulton Rovers next Saturday.
