The Larks powered into the quarter finals of the Somerset Premier Cup with an entertaining win away v Wayne Thorne’s Wells side. Ollie Eglon took the keeper’s gloves and there were first team debuts for Lewis Dixon and Keegan Morgan.
Wells scored first but Lewis Graham rapidly levelled the scores, and then Sam Whitson made it 2-1 with a well worked goal. Captain Sam Boulton scored the standout of our five goals, a powerful header, just before half time.
The second half saw more goals: Dawid Regula chipped the keeper after a good solo run to make it 4-1 before Wells won and dispatched a penalty. Hardworking Jake Jackson then got the reward his industry deserved shortly before full time to make it 5-2.
