Victory at Plain Ham!
An entertaining, open game saw the Larks win out over the Railwaymen, although they had to come back from an early goal to do so.
An early corner was steered in by Didcot’s Taylor Bedwell, and then Adam Forster pulled off a flying save to deny them a second. At this point Didcot were making better use of space but the Larks started ratcheting up the pressure, spearheaded by the indomitable Harvey Pritchard. An equaliser was coming, and centre half Lewis Graham scored with a fine volley on the edge of the box.
The Larks got in front early in the second period when Harvey cued up Ryan Beckinsale, whose low drive beat Leigh Bedwell. Bedwell was called on again when Raph Oppong and Evra Yao both had good chances. Patrick Osborne then levelled for Didcot, but another Larks attack nearly resulted in a penalty as Harvey was brought down. No need for a spot-kick though: Spencer Dymond-Hall got on the end of the ball before the ref could point to the spot and blasted home the Larks’ winner.
