LAFC Job Vacancy – Welfare Officer
Do you have experience of working with young people and have a knowledge and understanding of safeguarding children issues?
Do you have an interest in grassroots football and a positive attitude to equal opportunities?
If so, Larkhall Sports Club have a voluntary opportunity for you to join as a Welfare Officer.
With the support of the Board of Directors, you will:
• review current practices;
• promote safeguarding awareness and training; • promote a culture of listening to children; • ensure compliance with safer recruitment practices including DBS Checks.
This role will require completion of The FA DBS Enhanced Disclosure process and acceptance by The FA of the outcome.
When dealing with issues, confidentiality and discretion are essential, and a reasonable level of administrative experience and how to deal with confidential documentation is required.
It will be necessary for you to complete workshops and courses organised by The FA and have a willingness to attend in-service training, as required, to update your skills and experience.
