Three wins on the trot!

Larkhall Athletic 3-0 Mangotsfield United

The Larks notched up a third win in a week with a fairly straightforward victory against a young Mangotsfield United side.

Although it took the home side a while to hit their stride, the Larks then scored three goals in less than 10 minutes. Top scorer Lewis Powell was the first off the mark, taking the lead off the spot after a handball decision against the visitors. Less than 2 minutes later the Larks doubled their lead when captain Mike Baker headed home from a corner. And then we made it 3-0 when Joe Tumelty beat a number of Mangotsfield defenders with a fine move and strike from within the box.

With a 3-0 lead the home side took their foot off the pedal in the second half, allowing Mangotsfield to get back into the game, but they never seriously threatened Shaun Semmens’ goal and we saw the 90 minutes out for our first home league win of the season.
